Kirsten Olson has worked in the non-profit human services sector for more than 20 years, providing services and supports across a variety of target populations including the homeless, persons with behavioral health conditions, and youth in child welfare. In 2008, she joined the staff of Children & Families First, first as a grant writer, then Chief Development Officer. In her current role as Chief Strategy Officer at CFF, which she has held since 2014, she is responsible for strategic planning, program development, grant-writing, and evaluation and outcomes management for the agency's more than 20 program areas. In 2014, the agency began collecting Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) data from persons served in several CFF programs. Kirsten has managed the analysis of this data, which with more than 1,000 surveys collected shows that the people CFF serves have been disproportionately impacted by adversity. Kirsten is a member of the agency's Change in Mind cohort team.
