In his role as Application Development Manager at the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, Matt provides senior leadership to application development initiatives in support of a healthcare organization with a 2+ billion dollar book of business. Matt has a wealth of knowledge related to Medicaid and Medicaid waivers. Matt has been involved in all aspects of application development and application development management including supporting project management through collaboration with the Project Management Office; Hardware and software procurement; Budgeting; Vendor management; Staff augmentation procurement; Technical support to staff; HIPAA requirements; Policy and procedure development; Strategic planning; Trainings and presentations. Recently, Matt worked with the DODD leadership team on the award winning imagineIS project. Matt's contributions on this effort included: Software selection; Request for Proposal development, evaluation, scoring and vendor selection; Vendor management; Staff Augmentation; and Delivery management. As part of his delivery management role, Matt led the IT and business team to groom and decompose user stories for architectural review, and developer iteration planning sessions. This quick build project with over 700 user stories took approximately 8 months of development effort using a blended vendor/state staff team.
