Cheryl Boley has been the Director of Perry County (Ohio) Department of Job and Family Services (PCDJFS) since 2010. She began her career in Health and Human Services at the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services in Columbus, Ohio where she served in multiple leadership roles over the course of almost 20 years. Throughout her career, she has focused on removing barriers and improving human services through technology and business process re-engineering. Serving at PCDJFS has allowed Director Boley the opportunity to serve the needs of her own rural, Appalachian community where nearly 1 in 3 residents receive some type of public assistance. In this role, Cheryl has worked hard to align community agencies to ensure that Perry County's most vulnerable citizens of all ages have access to basic needs and services. In 2013, Director Boley joined the Ohio County Shared Services Team to assist ODJFS Deputy Director, Doug Lumpkin, in leading a county/state collaboration to streamline and standardize public assistance service delivery through upgraded technologies and improved business processes. Director Boley has obtained a B.A. in English from the Ohio Dominican University. She has also completed coursework for a Master's in Public Administration at Ohio University.
