Alicia Wilson is Vice President of Community Affairs and Legal Advisor to Sagamore Development Company (SDC), a Plank Industries company. Alicia is responsible for shaping and promoting Plank Industries' interests by developing strategic initiatives that enhance its philanthropic and investment impact, and for cultivating key stakeholder relationships. During the 2016 Baltimore City Council legislative session, Alicia drafted key legislation and served as the principal negotiator of the two largest Community Benefit Agreements in Baltimore's history, associated with the passage of a $660 million public financing project. Negotiations involved over 200 stakeholder groups representing tens of thousands of Baltimore residents. Alicia leads a team charged with implementing the agreements, focusing on workforce development, supplier diversity, inclusionary housing, and youth enrichment. Prior to joining SDC, Alicia was litigation and employment and labor law partner at Gordon Feinblatt. Alicia serves on the boards of the CollegeBound Foundation, Center for Urban Families, University of Maryland Foundation at Baltimore, Associated Black Charities, and Citizenship Law Related Education Project. She is a graduate of University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and University of Maryland School of Law. In 2003, she was named the Harry S. Truman Scholar for the state of Maryland, the first student in the history of UMBC to be awarded this honor. After graduating from UMBC, Alicia was named the 2004 Andrew Levy Leadership Scholar and the 2004 George L. Russell Scholar at the University of Maryland School of Law. For her accomplishments and public service, Alicia has been recognized by numerous institutions, including the W.E.B. Dubois Circle, Maryland Daily Record, Baltimore City Bar Association, Maryland Bar Association, National Black Women Lawyers Association, and Monumental Bar Association. In 2016, Alicia was named one of Baltimore's 25 Women to Watch by the Baltimore Sun and in 2017, a Champion of Courage by Baltimore's Fox45.
