Ann Flagg is the Maryland Department of Human Resources' Acting Deputy Secretary for Programs. In this role, Ann provides leadership for Maryland's primary human services programs, including economic assistance benefits, Child Welfare and Family Preservation services, and Child Support Administration. Prior to serving as the Acting Deputy Secretary, Ann served as Deputy Executive Director of the Family Investment Administration, overseeing the state's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Office of Home Energy Programs, Homeless and Emergency Services, and the Office for Refugees and Asylees. Ann has more than 15 years of experience in program design, evaluation and management, and organizational development in the international development and domestic human services sectors. She also brings experience working with corporate foundations in evaluating nonprofit partners for excellence in programming and management.
