Dr. Brian McElyea (C|CISO) is an Information Security Executive with more than 30 years federal and private industry experience of which he has more than 15 years in providing cyber security and privacy solutions for public sector clients?as a senior leader. He is responsible for leadership in all facets of cyber security and privacy for Northrop Grumman's Systems and Modernization Services Division. Brian oversees cyber operations for over 83 programs in 6 states and internationally. In addition to his in-depth knowledge of information security, he also serves as the HIPAA manager for the NG Health and Civil Business Units. Brian has a PhD in Knowledge Management from Walden University, a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Troy State University, and a Bachelor's of Science from Widener University in Business Administration. Brian currently is a Certified Chief Information Security Officer and has recently been appointed to the Fort Myers Technical College Board of Advisors on Cybersecurity. Dr. McElyea has written many technical papers, spoken at countless national conferences, been instrumental in internal Research and Development efforts, and been interviewed by national media outlets on cyber security and data protection. His recent focus is advanced protection in cloud environments, cyber resiliency, legacy system protection during modernization, and protecting systems from advanced malware threats.
