Alisha Griffin is the Director of the California Department of Child Support Services (DCSS). In 2014, DCSS implemented a five-year Strategic Plan, focusing on customer service, engaging in a rigorous assessment of its systems and business processes ensuring that they can adapt and meet the needs of families. DCSS expanded programs, streamlined services and undertaken new initiatives including implementation of 24/7 pay service options, "VIOLA" the online application process, improved performance management planning, statewide customer service standards and piloting the international case management system, iSupport.
As previous Director of New Jersey Child Support Services, she led the design, procurement, implementation, and management of the first "second generation" national model child support automated system, including substantial pre- and post-change management strategies. This successful reengineering of a completely new system resulted in a comprehensive streamlining of collections, disbursement systems and overarching fiscal management with a revamping of customer service through creating a comprehensive "one stop" driven service model, inclusive of performance metrics.
Ms. Griffin currently serves as Chair for the Governance Advisory Board for iSupport, Treasurer for the National Child Support Enforcement Association (NCSEA) and the Regional Representative for the National Council of Child Support Directors (NCCSD). She serves on the Policy and Government Relations committee, the International and Intergovernmental committees for NCCSD. Previously she served as President of NCSEA and NCCSD. Presented in August 2016 with NCSEAs Kathy Duggan Memorial Award for exceptional dedication and effort to promote the best interests of children and families served by the Child Support Program.
